Certification mark usage policy
The HPDS certification mark must communicate an accurate, current, and authorized certification scope. It may not be used in a way that misleads customers or consumers.
Only official artwork and written usage instructions supplied by HPDS may be used. Additional requirements may appear in the applicable certification agreement or authorization.
Authorized use only
The mark may be used only by the certified organization and only during the valid certification period, subject to the applicable agreement and policy.
Accurate scope
Use must not imply that uncertified products, facilities, brands, services, or company-wide operations are certified.
Artwork integrity
Approved artwork, proportions, colours, clear space, minimum size, and legibility requirements must be followed. The mark may not be altered, redrawn, combined, or obscured.
Packaging and advertising
Packaging, labels, websites, catalogues, social media, and promotional materials should be approved where required and must remain consistent with the certified scope.
Changes and monitoring
Certified organizations must report relevant changes to products, ingredients, suppliers, facilities, ownership, packaging, and certification claims according to program requirements.
Suspension, expiry, or withdrawal
Use must stop when authorization expires, is suspended, is withdrawn, or no longer covers the represented product. Existing inventory and digital materials must be handled according to written HPDS direction.
Misuse
HPDS may require corrective action, removal of claims, notification of affected parties, or other appropriate measures where misuse is identified.
